One Church, many parts
The 403 Network is a family of churches from different denominations that partner together to see our city reached with the love of Jesus. Our goal is to grow unity in our city and to see the church become one church. We are convinced that the only way to see our city reached with the love of Jesus is to do it together, and we believe that God is calling His church to action to see all people experience the saving love of Jesus Christ.
Mission
The 403 network is united in Embodying sacred spaces to:
Be captivated by the beauty of Jesus
Be marked by the power of the Holy Spirit
Be equipped with wisdom and tools to live faithfully;
Be formed through the practice of prayer
Be unified as one church
Be sent as Spirit filled witnesses to redeem their city
How does the 403 Network operate?
The 403 Network operates within a three-year rhythm—Prayer, Service, Sharing. Last year was an incredible year focused on prayer, capped off with the amazing youth-led all-night prayer. This year, our focus is Share, and our intent as a network is to create opportunities for youth to engage across their city with student-led community service initiatives. We believe that God's vision for 403 students in their schools this year includes sharing their faith not only through words but also through tangible acts that bring God’s Kingdom realities into our schools—mercy, justice, hope, peace, and more.
We will be working to equip the youth of God’s Church to unite and invest themselves in other clubs and initiatives in their schools where they can shine the light of Christ on issues of mental health, poverty, the marginalized and the oppressed. Where such clubs exist, we will join them together. Where they don’t exist, we will start them together. We will show faculty, peers, and school boards alike that this generation of God’s Church is ready to be a force for blessing in our city—in the name of Jesus. In this way, we will live as kingdom bringers. Sharing our faith in both word and deed. There are three essential parts to the 403 Network:
RALLY
Inspire action through teaching focused on service as mission; Publish a contact list for organizations across the city that are welcoming student volunteers; provide opportunity for students to listen to God, pray, and network toward serving their city together
CONFERENCE
Engage with teaching relevant to service as mission; provide opportunity to connect with organization leaders from around Calgary; cast vision for a city-wide season of service and launch a strategy to do so.
MOBILIZATION
That city-wide season of service will launch after the conference and carry through to the end of spring. Our goal is to see 403 youth groups across the city serving on mass in their neighbourhoods, communities, and local organizations to bless our city and glorify Jesus’ name.
